About Us This website is operated by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (“SwedCham Malaysia”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a non-profit, membership-based organisation promoting business relations between Sweden and Malaysia. Use of Website You agree to use this website responsibly and lawfully. You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, or copy and distribute content without permission. 4. Event Registration Registration is required for most events and is subject to availability. We reserve the right to accept or decline any registration. You are responsible for providing accurate information when registering. Registrations paid via bank transfer may only be confirmed upon receipt of payment. 5. Fees and Payment Some events require payment to confirm participation. Payment must be completed at the time of registration unless otherwise agreed. All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Payments may be made via third-party providers such as Stripe or via bank transfer (including QR code payments, where available). We do not store your payment details. For bank transfers, you are responsible for ensuring correct payment details and completing the transfer. 6. Cancellations and Substitutions Event registrations are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may request a substitution (name change) by contacting us before the event. Substitutions are subject to approval. 7. Membership We offer different categories of membership, each with specific benefits such as event access and pricing. Membership details are available on our website. Benefits are non-transferable unless otherwise stated. We may update membership structure and benefits from time to time. 8. Event Changes We may update event details, including speakers, venue, or schedule, where necessary. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances. 9. Photography and Media Photos and videos may be taken at our events, using both mobile devices and professional equipment. These may be used for communication and promotional purposes, including on our website, newsletters, and platforms such as LinkedIn. For larger events, photos may also be shared with participants (e.g. via a shared online folder). If you prefer not to appear in photos or videos, please inform us in advance and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request. 10. Intellectual Property All content on this website is owned by SwedCham Malaysia unless otherwise stated and may not be used without prior permission. 11. Limitation of Liability We aim to provide accurate and reliable information, but we do not guarantee that the website will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses related to your use of the website or participation in events. 12. Third-Party Services We use third-party providers such as Wix, Stripe and Brevo to operate our website, process payments and share our Newsletter.
